DESCRIPTION
Join us for a cosmic celebration that will resonate with and honor the light of the Summer Solstice. We will use a combination of sound immersion, body movement, and guided meditation to create a joyful experience that your mind, body, and spirit will appreciate.

Following a gentle Kundalini yoga set led by Ruby Koa, the Tibetan and Crystal bowls will serenade a guided meditation easing us into deep relaxation. Then as earthly form and thoughts begin to dissolve, the mighty gongs appear for a full immersion into sound energy! During the gong immersion segment, multiple gongs and mallets are used to bring out the full spectrum of beneficial vibrations and frequencies.

Just as a body massage works out tight and knotted muscles, the "sonic massage" of a Gong meditation works out emotional issues that we need to release in order to move forward in life. The listener only has to let go and let the sound of the Gongs do the work. The experience is effortless and the results profound.

No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or sound energy is needed, the movement and sound will simply meet you where you are and take you wherever you need to go.

While everyone has their own unique experience with sound energy, many have found it to open pathways to relax, quiet their mind, balance energy, meditate, release emotional tension, retune internal systems, have a spiritual experience, heal themselves, inspire creativity, or feel a deep sense of peace. Our innate intelligence appears to use this type of sound energy to promote well-being within.

Register early and invite your friends. We look forward to seeing you there!

What to bring: The sound immersion is usually experienced lying down on your back or a similar comfortable position. Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable. Some yoga props will be available to borrow, but the floor is hard, so please bring a cozy padding (yoga/Pilates/camping mat, or sleeping bag) to lay on, a pillow, blanket, eye pillow, and ear plugs if your ears are sensitive. Tea will be available, bring your own cup if you like.

Cancellation Policy: Due to space limitation for in person events, we can’t give credit or refunds for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the start of the event unless it is health or emergency related. The exception would be if you or we can find someone to take your spot.

Covid Considerations: If you’re showing symptoms of illness, contact Ruby asap so she can refund your ticket and find someone else to take your spot. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time and so there's not too much crowding as people set up.

Elizabeth

Ever since taking her first yoga class, Elizabeth has dipped and dabbled, trying out various yoga practices. The thoughtful and supportive style of Iyengar as well as the rich, deep, spacious experience of Yin and Restorative are personal favorites. First introduced to Sound and Kundalini by Ruby Koa, at Inspire Studio, the beautifully meditative and transformative energy immersion felt like meeting the embrace of a long lost friend, coming home, food for the soul. This began her sound journey, which she continues to explore, currently, by also learning and sharing the gift of sound and guided visualization with others. Elizabeth is so thankful for the incredibly gracious and welcoming community of mentors and fellow sound lovers. For her, the acceptance and accessibility of the practice is a space full of curiosity, healing and joyous energy!

Inspire Studio Reviews

  • Julia Moss ★★★★★
This historical one room yoga studio is a beautiful place for a class. Instructors range in style, class time, and difficulty but owner Ruby Koa does a beautiful job filling her space with love. Drop in for a sweat at the noon power hour on Tuesday or Thursday, start your weekend off right with a free meditation class Friday afternoon or ever try the new aerial yoga class offered with silks. Inspire is an incredible place to find community and spirit.

  • Ali Michelin ★★★★★
Thus place really does have heart ♥! I've only taken classes with Ruby, but heard great things about the other instructors too. There's a calm, happy energy about this space, and Ruby is so open, sweet, joyful and just a fabulous instructor!! I highly recommend Inspire Studio!!
