Molly Benjamin

Molly is a Northern Californian who found herself landing in the Northwest after a few months of wandering up the Pacific Crest Trail. The final leg of her journey in the North Cascades were enchanting, alluring and magnetic and she knew that she had to give a life in Bellingham a go.

Molly began studying and practicing yoga over 10 years ago while attending University in Berkeley, CA.

After graduating she began to deepen her yoga practice searching for grounding in her ever fluctuating lifestyle. Molly began studying yoga regularly at Lulubandha's in Ojai, CA with Kira Ryder. Kira's approach to yoga is not committed to one particular style, rather is interested in techniques that might help us relax into ourselves and tune into our inner alignment. Molly Completed her 200 hr teacher training with Kira in 2007. She has been blessed with the opportunity to study with many other influential teachers as including: Eric Schiffman, Paul Grilley, Saul David Ray and Anusara teacher Katchie Ananda. In 2009 Molly completed a certificate in acupressure at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley where she learned Tai Chi, Chi Gung and a hands-on approach to healing that she often integrates into her yoga classes.Throughout her exploration of the healing arts Molly has gravitated towards a gentler, restorative, yin style approach to vinyasa yoga. She has noticed the stressful effects of a busy modern lifestyle and has found that taking plenty of time to slow down is the best antidote. Molly feels lucky to have had the opportunity to teach yoga for the past five years. Her intention is to bring more softness, sweetness and ease into the experience of doing yoga and to create a safe and comforting space where everyone can relax into their bodies knowing that everything is going to be alright.

Mellow Yoga

When: Tuesday 7:15-8:30 pm *Time Change Starts June 14th*

Mellow Yoga is a moderately paced practice introducing the link between posture and breath and exploring deep relaxation and ease within a few restorative poses.  This class is open to all levels and allows the body to find warmth, balance and smooth, flowing energy while calming the nervous system and preparing the mind for a restful night's sleep.


Monthly Restorative Yoga Workshop

When: Every First Sunday Monthly, see google calendar for exact time.

 Molly offers a 2 hour restorative yoga practice every 1st Sunday of the month.  This will be an extra lovely way to spend your Sunday evening, melting into the poses with the assistance of props and a soothing breath. We will explore each pose with patience and ease, allowing the body to relax fully throughout the practice. Feel free to bring an extra blanket to wrap up in for warmth.
